Verification emails carry a one-time code to authenticate your identity, giving you access to view your prepaid Visa or Mastercard details, including card details and transaction information. This page serves as a verification code guide, with information about obtaining and using verification codes, as well as resolutions to common issues.
Obtaining and using prepaid card verification codes
To access your card details and transaction information, follow these steps using the redemption link provided in the original reward email:
-
Click on the redemption link, and a pop-up will notify you that a verification code will be sent to your email address on file with our Visa® Prepaid Card and Mastercard® Prepaid Card vendor.
-
Keep the window open and don't close the one prompting you to enter the verification code.
-
Open your email in a new window or on a different device (e.g., computer, laptop, smartphone), copy the verification code, and return to the original window to input it.
-
Once verified, you can access the card information necessary for making purchases and reviewing your balance and transaction history.
Obtaining and using prepaid card verification codes with a mobile device
For mobile users (phone or tablet), press-and-hold the Redemption Link in your email until you see an option to 'Open URL in Browser.' This will open the verification prompt separately in your phone's web browser app, allowing you to access your email inbox for the verification code without closing the prompt.
Tips for locating missing prepaid card verification emails
-
Confirm that the email address you used when redeeming your prepaid card is accurate.
-
If the email address is incorrect then please contact Tango for further assistance.
-
-
Check your junk or spam mail folders.
-
Email services might mistakenly direct verification emails to spam folders. If you find the verification email in your spam or junk folder, adjust your settings to ensure future verification emails land in your primary inbox.
-
Note:
Verification codes expire if they aren’t used within 2 minutes. If that happens then you’ll need to request another code.
Prepaid card verification code issues and resolutions
The most common problem with verification codes occurs when the code-requesting window is closed before entering the code, often resulting in an error message stating that your code has already expired when you enter it into a new window. To avoid this issue, consider the following tips:
-
Keep the code-requesting window open when prompted.
-
Access your email in a separate window or on another device, especially if using a smartphone or tablet.
-
Copy or jot down the verification code and return to the original window to enter it.
